UT&ABOUT
I T’S TIME TO START gathering up your posse and mark your calendars for March 13 to attend the 3rd annual Cattle Barons’ Ball.
Destin Commons will host
this entertaining, while extremely
important, community round-up to benefit the Emerald Coast Unit of the American
Cancer Society to raise funds for cancer research, advocacy,
education and patient services. Last year, the Destin Cattle
Barons’ Ball raised almost $100,000, a remarkable tribute to
the support of this community and its caring people and
businesses.
Guests of the Cattle Barons’ Ball will enjoy gourmet
western fare, live and silent auctions, gaming, great
entertainment by the Modern Eldorados, and dancing till
the cows come home. This high-energy western-themed
event is one-of-a kind and is definitely one of the hottest
events in Destin.
A highlight of the evening will be the “R.O.C.K.tion”, a
live auction which will raise money for R.O.C.K. programs.
Reaching Out to Cancer Kids is an American Cancer Society
Florida Division program that includes R.O.C.K Camp,
college scholarships and a Family R.O.C.K. Weekend. An
8' bull, made of paper maché, will be branded by guests
making a donation to commemorate a loved one and help
send young cancer survivors to R.O.C.K. Camp and provide
scholarships.
How You Can Make A Difference…The Cattle Barons’
Ball is unique in that it develops their sponsorships well in
advance of the event by booking a limited number of sought-after table sponsors in two levels. The highest level at $5,000
is a Barons’ table for ten which includes many valuable
sponsorship perks. The second level at $2,000 is a Ranchers’
table for ten. Individual tickets are $150.
Attending the Cattle Barons’ Ball includes dinner, drinks
and an evening full of entertainment and fun. Many people
