Destin Commons Donates $2,500 to Sacred Heart Hospital
of the Emerald Coast through Coins For A Cause
The concept behind Coins For A Cause at Destin Commons is to change lives, one coin
at a time. All the proceeds collected from the 65 meters along main street at Destin Commons are part of Coins for a Cause – a Destin Commons program that benefits local and
national charities.
In July, Destin Commons donated $2,500 to Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald
Coast. General manager, Darin Grigg; director of marketing, Crystal Petti; and marketing
coordinator, Jessica Proffitt met with Sacred Heart president, Roger Hall, for an educational
tour of the hospital. Hall provided the group with a greater insight as to why the 58-bed
hospital ranks 16th in the nation in patient satisfaction. The Destin Commons donation
will directly benefit the hospital’s upcoming Heart and Vascular campaign.
“We are always looking for ways that we can give back to our community,” commented Crystal Petti. “That’s why we created Coins For A Cause. Shoppers at Destin Commons
can enjoy the convenience of parking right in front of the stores, and feel good that their
money directly impacts their community”
Thousands of dollars have gone to many local charities since the program’s inception
five years ago. To learn more about Coins For A Cause or apply on-line for future donation
