Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood, renowned as one of the most elegant dining locations in Northwest Florida, was recently voted

Located onsite at the luxurious Hilton
Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa (www.
HiltonSandestinBeach.com), Seagar’s offers
five-star dining in an intimate setting perfect for
couples, business dinners and special events.
“We are both honored and excited
to receive the distinction of ‘number one
steakhouse on the Emerald Coast,’” said Mike
Griffin, general manager of Seagar’s. “We pride
ourselves on serving the finest prime beef and
freshest seafood in an elegant setting that caters
to special occasions.”
Named a AAA Four Diamond restaurant

before. And as part of that vision, they included a gorgeous Gulf Coast setting and
top-notch facility for a restaurant. Lally and I are excited that Commander’s is that
restaurant and that we are part of the Harbor Walk Village experience.”
Currently with only its home location of New Orleans, Commander’s Palace and
the Brennan family has been highly selective of its restaurant locations. Ti revealed this
selective nature when she said, “Lally and I have traveled all over the world looking for
a beach that’s better than Destin – and we failed. Destin has been our playground for as
long as I can remember. It’s the place where my family has gone to have fun and now,
with the new location at Harbor Walk Village, we’ll mix a little work in with the fun.”
The Legendary team members working with Ti and Lally to ultimately garner one
of just three Commander’s locations were Rik Bos, Vice President, Legendary Realty,
Inc., and Bryan Deane, Vice President Commercial Properties for Legendary Realty, Inc.
Along with its grand legacy, Commander’s appealed to this team through two traits the
Legendary company takes pride in as well – Southern Hospitality and extraordinary
service.
Rik Bos shared his excitement with the latest addition to Harbor Walk Village, explaining how Commander’s represents tremendous progress in the crowning, justified
focus of the Destin Harbor as the gateway location to the Emerald Coast. Commenting
on what Commander’s Palace will mean for Destin and Harbor Walk Village, he further
noted, “This legendary establishment will bring people from far and wide to dine in a
location that will now truly speak for itself.”
Adding to Rik Bos’ accolades of the Big Easy icon, Bryan Deane, a native of New
Orleans, knows far too well the magic that a place like Commander’s will bring to the
Harbor. “Growing up in New Orleans, I dined at Commander’s regularly. Nothing
compares to this grand experience – something I know Destin vacationers and locals
will embrace and enjoy for its fine foods, impeccable service and good times.”
did food and wine one expects from a world-class dining
experience - one with the unique spirit, culinary integrity
and “joie de vivre” that have made Commander’s Palace
a legend over the decades. It’s this one of a kind experi-
ence that has earned the restaurant countless notes of praise and awards, including:
Outstanding Restaurant Award and Outstanding Service Award by the James Beard
Foundation, the Fine Dining Award by Distinguished Restaurants of North America,
Reader’s Choice Awards and #1 City Restaurant by Southern Living Magazine. And let’s
not forget the fact that two of America’s biggest celebrity chefs, Paul Prudhomme and
Emeril Lagasse, began their storied careers in the Commander’s Palace kitchen.
“While Commander’s Palace is 127 years old we feel like all our best culinary
experiences are ahead of us,” noted Ti. “Commander’s has a healthy reverence for past
culinary traditions but it is our day to day passion to be on the leading edge of Creole
cooking’s continuous evolution.”
According to Legendary’s timeline, Commander’s Palace, which will encompass
over 8,000 square feet at Harbor Walk Village, is set to open in summer of 2008. To
date, Legendary Realty has built a reputation of great success in commercial properties,
having already worked with Turnberry Associates on current Destin retail center, Destin
Commons.
The company plans to announce a full list of additional retailers by winter 2007.
Currently at Harbor Walk Village, some of the more notable tenants to go along with
Commander’s include: the Destin Fishing Fleet, new Restaurant-America dining concept, Water Grille; New Orleans icon, Pat O’Brien’s; Jester Mardi Gras Daiquiri, Lucky
Snapper, and high energy night club, Jet Ultra Lounge.
